Preschool Director
I joined Wentz's Preschool in January 2023. I have a daughter, Lola, and my son, Steven. Both of my children attended Wentz's Preschool. I am a graduate of Rosemont College with a BA in Psychology. I also received my Special Education Certificate from Penn State Great Valley. Before joining the Wentz family, I worked with children with autism and other developmental delays.
I love spending time with my family. My daughter is in Competitive cheer and I enjoy watching her shine. On the weekends, my son and I love to go for coffee and donut runs. I have two bunnies at home named Oreo and Marshmallow. I spend most of my time in the Tiny Tots classroom.
Office Manager at Wentz's UCC
I am a former teacher and administrator in the Bristol Township School District. I have a BS in Education K-12 and a Masters of Education with a speciality in special education. I substitute in the preschool if needed so you may find me in a classroom.
TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN
My name is Ashleigh and I teach the Transitional Kindergarten class. I came to Wentz's in the fall of 2024. I have loved becoming part of Wentz's Preschool, and it has renewed my passion for early childhood education.
Prior to coming to Wentz's I spent some time off from teaching to be home with my 4 children who keep me very busy with their love of sports, music and theater. In my free time I enjoy taking long walks and reading.
I have degrees in both elementary and early childhood education from West Chester University and then went on to receive my masters in education. I have always loved working with preschool aged children and was a Head Start teacher in the Philadelphia School District and taught in various preschool classrooms at Chesterbrook Academy.
Hi, I'm Shannon! This is my second year as an employee at Wentz's. I have loved the school for the past few years as my daughter, Cali, attended!
My background is in dance, with a degree from Muhlenberg College, but I have worked with kids for years. I was a kindergarten aide while teaching dance to all ages in Chicago for a few years following college. When my husband and I moved back to the Philadelphia area, I held a day job as an assistant manager to a cycling studio and continued to teach dance most nights. More recently, I have been at home with my kids (William - 9, Liv - 8 and Cali - 6) for the past few years - with some dance teaching on the side. Working with kids has been so rewarding for me, and I love the energy and activity each day holds.
In my free time, we love getting outside as a family, including with our dog, Pebbles. We live right here in Worcester and enjoy the trail behind Wentz's for family walks, creek exploration, or a nice solo run. I enjoy the beach, reading, and playing my guitar when I make some downtime! I'm excited to be working with the great staff at Wentz's and happy to help each kid find a fun, fulfilling day!
PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Greetings to the Wentz's U.C.C. Community. I am Carol Ann Miller, a co-teacher in the Pre-K class. I am a veteran educator, having been blessed to teach young children for many years. When the highly respected Pre-School that I was so fortunate to be a part of closed during Covid, I hoped that I would have another opportunity to share my knowledge, my love of teaching, and my joy in working with children and interacting with their families. I am very happy to be a teacher in my community here at Wentz.
I am an experienced educator with over 14 years of teaching experience and a strong passion for Early Childhood Education. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Reading, which have helped shape my commitment to creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences for young children. I love incorporating nature and the natural world into my teaching whenever possible, helping students connect learning to the world around them. Outside of the classroom, I am a wife and proud mother of two young daughters.
TOTS
I'm Ms. Debbie and I am one of the Tot's teachers at Wentz's Preschool. I graduated from Xavier University with a degree in Early childhood Education in 2005. I have spent many years working with Toddlers in different learning environments, in both PA and Ohio.
In 2018 I became a stay at home mom to my three boys, who are now 9, 14 and 17. I am excited to get back to doing one of my favorite things, learning and exploring with little ones. Outside of the classroom my hobbies include hiking, yoga, running, cooking, and most of all camping! I’m excited for all the adventures we have in tots each day and enjoy watching the children grow.
I'm Ms. Devan and one of the Tot's teachers at Wentz's Preschool. I graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Education. I have previously taught for 11 years at Freire Charter School in Philadelphia, was also an instructional coach there mentoring other teachers and the Science Department head.
After taking two years off to be a stay-at-home mom to my three children, I was excited to return to teaching and join the Wentz Preschool community. I am a huge Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers fan and love the outdoors, going on walks, gardening, and baking treats with my kids. Creating a nurturing and engaging environment where the Tot's children can explore, learn, and grow is the heart of our class.
TINY TOTS
Before joining Wentz's Preschool, I spent several years teaching dance and musical theatre to children of all ages, which helped spark my love for working with young learners in creative, expressive ways. As a high school student, I volunteered at the preschool I once attended and experienced the joy of watching little minds grow.
I grew up in both Pennsylvania and Tennessee. My favorite place to visit in New York City, usually to catch the latest Broadway show. When I'm not in the classroom, I am spending time with my three beautiful children who keep me inspired every day. You can almost always find me with a coffee in hand. I love dancing, singing, and making music. I am always up for a movie night with my family.
I believe in nuturing each child's unique voice, creativity, and confidence and I feel blessed to be part of their journey during these magical early years.
I'm Lisa and you can find me working with the Tiny Tots and also helping to lead the afternoon enrichment program. I started with the school in the summer of 2024. I love working with preschoolers and helping to nurture their curiosity through play and learning. It is such a joy to be apart of this great community.
I grew up in Bucks County and have resided in Worcester for almost 25 years. We fell in love with Worcester for its semi-rural charm. I graduated from Gwynedd Mercy with a B.S. in Psychology. I have 3 beautiful children and a wonderful supportive husband. When I am not working, you can find me gardening or enjoying our local arboretums or nureries. I am also a member of the Delaware Valley Iris Society.
